The Toni communes or Common Forms comprise the Tones used to sing a variety of texts: Versicles, Venites, Psalms, Gloria Patri Verses for the Great Responsories, Chapters, Lessons, and Prayers.
The Toni communes also includes private Prayers to be said before and after the Hours.
The Toni communes also includes the Neuma which conclude certain Antiphons as indicated.
